Tap at BrΓ€very. Pours clear reddish black, small tan head, good lacing. Aroma is rich, roast, cocoa, mocha, hint of bourbon, molasses. Flavor is balanced, rich, fairly sweet, light bitter, roasty, bakers chocolate, just a hint of oaky bourbon, light vanilla. Full body, silky mouthfeel. Quite solid

22 oz. bottle. Pours black, with a medium, tan head. The aroma is caramelized sugar, light smoke, leather, black cherries, toasted oak, and mild coffee. Sweet and malty, with a drying finish. Medium to heavy body, with a sharp, grainy, and slightly warming mouthfeel. This is an enjoyable, aromatic, and complex malt-bomb.

From bomber to tulip. Lots of booze on the nose, and other subtle blends. Black with brown head that quickly fades to nothing. Barrel is all over the flavor - with the tequila overpowering.

Aromas are wet paper and grain, stale hops, ( no date on the can that I could find) and caramel malt. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, Plus resin some alcohol warmth good Carbonic Tang, bittersweet though more bitter than sweet. Kind of a stale hop finish.

Aromas aren't bad just not my favorite combo of qualities such as molasses and dark ripe fruits there are some the things that I do like such as roast coffee cocoa and other dark malts. Flavors are similar to nose, bittersweet and a little bit muddled as though the brewmaster wasn't quite sure exactly what they were going for in The finish I pickup up the really nice rich understated classic Russian imperial stout that is super easy to drink but in the initial part is that heavy fruity gnarly stuff that's not quite as good. Very good body and the the dry roasty finish helps it a lot.

Pretty nice and interesting to have a fresh hop American strong ale. Aromas are spicy herbal bitter fresh hops and oh little malt. Flavors are like nose, again the fresh hops stand out, fairly dry, clean and well-balanced. Excellent body and finish no off qualities at all. Very good beer.
