Tap at Capital Hop Shop. Pours clear, darkly ruddy with a beigeish head. Aroma of brown sugar and arguably pecans. A waft of alcohol. Very pleasing. Full bodied IMHO. Flavor is brown sugar, some light whisky/bourbon/vanilla, and enough pecan to be noticeable. It is extremely far from dry and the whisky and heat are standing in to fight the malt/sugar. I'm not at all sure there's any hop to be found. But it is a dreamy/delicious confection. Danger Will Robinson!

2015 bottle. The beer is a dark brown color with amber around the edges, and a medium thin light beige head that dissipates steadily. Sparse strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon, malt and fruit. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, caramel malt and ripe fruit, plus a touch of hops. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

This beer is a clear copper-gold color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, fruit and malt. Medium body with flavors of Belgian yeast, fruit, malt and a bit of earthy hop. The finish is fruity yeast and malt. Above average overall.

On draught at TK Pizza & Pasta. The beer is a clear pale golden color with a thin white head that evaporates steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Fruit, malt and slight hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of bready malt, yeast and mild grassy hops. The finish is mildly bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the taproom. Brown-black color with a medium thick tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Full-bodied with flavors of smoked malt, bittersweet chocolate, coffee and hops. The finish is roasty with a smokey malt aftertaste. Good beer overall.

Sample at the taproom. Cloudy brownish-orange color with a thin off-white head that diminishes quickly to a wispy film. Spotty lacing. Malt, caramel and banana aroma. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, banana and a touch of hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.
