Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours mauve with no head. Aroma does suggest strawberry. Med body, nearly. Flavor is rather sweet, tho there’s something like a rhubarb tartness. Flavors seem to be strawberry and rhubarb. Not bad really, but not sure it’s "beer". :)

A root beery smell that comes across as more of an extract. There’s a slight note of anise, then a marshmallow taste that happen to I like, followed by a bit of a burn either from alcohol, or herbs that I haven’t run across before. Herbal note shows up at the end of the sampler, plus a background of wintergreen.

Dark yellow color. Sweet aromra and and sweet flavor. It does taste like cream soda. Thia is better than their root beer, and better than the average cream ale.
Gave me heartburn. Dumped it.
Couldn't do more than six ounces.

Bottle at Peg’s Cycle BA Day. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is vanilla, licorice, booze. Medium body, strong licorice, vanilla, very boozy finish, decent.

Bomber from Winco. Nose is exactly like root beer at first glance, with notes of vanilla and clove, but digging deeper you can pick out definite malted grain--it does smell like real beer underneath all the spices. Pours dark brown with a nice beige head with great retention and some lace. Tastes like root beer, but the strong licorice notes it has are like those you’d find in an imperial stout. Actually really tasty, I just don’t know if I want a whole 22 ounces to myself. Better shared, I think.
