Tried on draft and can, both times the initial sniff is sushi, or the umami aspect of it. As it sits a bit more some light fruity aspects come through. Pear and some sweet floral notes. Not really watermelon but a little if you close your eyes.
Not a bad brew. Has a sweet salty after taste which is confusing but not un pleasant. Decent on the palate, light and slightly creamy with good effervescence.

Yum! Draft, started with the mother of this beer oatalaxy. So this one is the same but lighter in all ways. Less alcohol less creaminess. Has all the same lemon orange zest...even the lacing is a baby version
Pairs well with a big old pub pretzel

500 ml bottle from the brewery. December 2025. The aroma literally is all Cocoa nibs. The flavor is mild roasted malt backbone with plenty of chocolate/ cocoa. Shows a decent bitter coffee for some balance. Good!

Bottle pour shared by CLW--thanks, Chris! Opaque black, ring of head, nice viscosity, no lacing. Aroma is strong, roasted, earthy malt, cacao nibs. Taste follows aroma. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Quality stout with one adjunct.

16oz can. A rather awesome hoppy black lager, tastes pretty much like a Black IPA. Luscious and rich malts, nice hop tone as well. All around great beer.

Can (11/7/25) from trade with CLW--thanks, Chris! Lightly hazy, pale gold with tons of sparkle, large head with excellent retention and copious soapy lacing. Aroma is balanced dank (Northwest hops) pine, citrus/fruity hops. Taste is strong mirror of aroma. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. A quintessential version of a West Coast IPA (pre-bittering competition). Piney but not resin-y. About as well as the style can be made--superbly crafted!

Can (10/smudge) from trade with CLW--thanks, Chris! Opaque, dark brown, nice sparkle, decent creamy head with excellent retention and tons of soapy lacing. Aroma is nice roasted malt, leather, pine and mild citrus. Taste is strong, sweet roasted malt, leather, pine, mild grapefruit. Smooth, creamy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Aroma could be a little stronger but everything is as it should be across the board. Very nice!

16 oz can. Aroma of roasted malt, light pine, chocolate. The bold roast them all helps balance the pine. Also shows mellow citrus. Very low bitterness for the style. Good mouthfeel. Superior for the style.

16 oz can. Aroma is mellow pine, herb and hay. Flavor is an exact copy of their aroma. The pine is low. The herb is low in the bread like malt balance. Is it perfectly. Not overly bitter with zero resin shown. Actually, this extremely well done for the West coast style.
