16oz can 2 days out from canning. Thick orange body, steady white head. A rather booming, juicy, thick hop tone. Drinks pretty smooth for the ABV. As with most of their beers over the last few months, I wish theyd drop the mandatory Citra addition and let the Riwaka or other hops shine. Riwaka is big in this, but sort of rounded out by the Citra. Solid for the style.

16oz can at Hidden River. Thick, unfiltered grey orange body. Creamy white head. Strata leads and is the dominant hop as it usually. All the other hops to come through though, adding some serious depth. Good.

16oz can. Great aroma. Pale opaque yellow-tan body. All three hops shine. Like most of their hazy pale ales, lacks body and depth. Still a rather awesome aroma, tropical melon tones. The flavor isn't quite as intense, perhaps a little pillowed by the oats. Good.

16oz can from the brewery, 3 days out from canning. Really nails it. Crackery, bready malt tone with a perfect, bright, zesty hop balance. Medium bodied, very drinkable. The foeder fermentation adds a touch of oaky vanilla perhaps? Really good.

Can at the brewery. No Topaz in this batch presumably. Perhaps a little faded out at a month and a half out. Really does have that orange slice tone. Calypso adds some depth, citra and el dorado aren't quite booming. OK, least favorite of the visit.

Can at Hidden River about a month after canning. Drinks more like a regular juicy IIPA than typical, still right next door. Awesome hop depth, tangy neomexicanus juiciness. Has some chewy underlying bitterness. Delicious.

Two days out from canning at the brewery. Waimea brings some awesome delicate honeysuckle. Citra and Mosaic round it out. A really impressive display of all three hops. Creamy, oaty body.

7.8% February 2022 version, hop bill inverted. Really attractive for the style, thick, opaque yellow-orange body. Creamy white head laces the glass. Motueka comes through big, adding some lime that sort of mute out the white grape of the Nelson Sauvin. Citra is just ever present in HR IPA at this point. Big and juicy, Motueka takes it in a unique direction. Good stuff.

375ml bottle. Quite sour, bitingly so, in a more Lambic way than most US sours. Green strawberry tone, a little more red strawberry juiciness would have been quite nice here, but perhaps it got eaten away by the sour yeasts. Pretty legit, well done sour. A really brutal experience to drink a whole bottle though. Split this with three or more people and it works better.
