Description
six°north was established in 2013. The concept was born in Belgium when founder Robert Lindsay fell in love with the country’s beer culture and tradition. He soon returned to north east Scotland to start brewing his own beers, six°north of Brussels. We make modern, artisanal beers that are driven by Belgian brewing tradition and inspired by modern brewing practices.

Our beers are unfiltered and carbonated naturally through secondary fermentation. We brew classic Belgian inspired beers, as well as modern, hop-forward styles. We also release a number of collaboration beers each year with other breweries.

Can from Sainsbury's Berryden. Assumed I had this before. It pours lightly hazy pink with a frothy white head. The aroma is sweet - sour, tart, tangy, fresh raspberry, fruit wine, tangy, cranberry and a touch of sherbet. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, puckering, tangy, mild acidity, fresh raspberry character, fruit wine, raspberry pip and a touch of tannin with a dry finish. Average body and fine, prickly carbonation. Nice balance to this. A world away from sweet artificial fruit beer.

Can from LCB, consumed 2 months before BBE. Hazy dark gold with small white head. Aroma has a dry and earthy hop with grapefruit and orange. Taste has a good juicy slightly sharp citrus and mango, pine. Semi-dry and good bitter dose in the finish. Medium boded. Very nice.
