32oz crowler pours a lightly hazy orange with some sticky white head. Nose has orange, pith, some malt, a little corn, candy, a little red fruit. Flavor is malty, candy too, orange, root veg, pithy citrus, grapefruit, blood orange. Finishes sticky, bitter. Meh.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a fairly dark brown color with a little white cap of a head. Fell off super quick to barely leave any lace.
The aroma had a nice blend of caramel/toffee malts, sweet nuts, Baker’s chocolate (but seemed a bit more bitter than usual), roasted coffee beans, and a little bit of earthiness.
The flavor cued up the sweetness of the malts at first and tried to bring in the nuts and Baker’s chocolate. However, the Baker’s chocolate seemed to come across a bit more bitter than expected. I didn’t mind for me, but was hoping for the malts to lighten the bitterness. The aftertaste was all about the malts. Finish was semi-dry with a substantial bitterness.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Bitterness created a little bit of unexpected but somewhat acceptable harshness along my tongue.
Overall, as a brown ale fan, I can’t fully endorse this beer. It does have a ton of potential, but if only the Baker’s chocolate was \"cued\" in on the sweeter side of it’s quality, this could be a knockout and the next time I try this beer, I hope it is a knockout.

Crowler from my parents.
This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a rugged semi-dark amber color with a slight transparency about it. Mild carbonation was seen rising at a moderate pace. Just a film of a little white foamy head. Not much lace.
The aroma had some soft sweet bready malts, some toast, herbal and earthy hop qualities and some light roasted nuts at the end.
The flavor brought the malts forward to touch gracefully the herbal and earthy hop qualities and bring about the nuts slightly in there for a decent aftertaste. Finish was malty.
The palate was almost medium bodied sitting just a touch under with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt low but good. ABV felt fine.
Overall, worthy Irish red ale to come back to.
