Sample at the SF Beer Week Opening Gala. Pours hazy golden, small off-white head, good lacing. Aroma is huge passionfruit, guava, other things I eat when in Hawaii. Flavor has minimal bitterness, lightly tart, really juicy. Agree with Joe; hardly a Saison, but what it is is really tasty. Wife hated it :)

On tap at the 2016 SF beer week opening gala. It pours a pale yellow color with a small white head. The aroma has lots of passionfruit with a hint of dank. The flavor is the same. Low to medium tartness with some passionfruit and lime. Like most of these kinds of beers, it’s hard to pick out any Saison character, so it ends up tasting like a light bodied, tart fruit beer. Not a bad thing by any means, but it bugs me that it’s labeled as a Saison for some reason. Either way, this was a tasty beverage.

On tap at the 2016 SF beer week opening gala. It pours a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma is sweet and nutty with coffee. The flavor has more chocolate than in the aroma with some smoke, coffee and creamer. More cocoa in the finish. The mouthfeel is insanely silky. The coffee and chocolate balance is about perfect for my palate. Deliciously sweet as well. One of my favorites of the night.

On tap at the 2016 SF beer week opening gala. I thought this was a Parks & Recreation reference, but whatever. It pours a light gold color with an off white head. The aroma is fruity with lots of melon and lime. Very limey. The flavor is the same with a light malt profile. Goes down pretty easy for a bigger IPA. Nice.

On tap at 2016 SF beer week opening gala. This one was a beast. It pours light golden, a little hazy with a white head. The aroma is super dank. Lots of weed. The flavor is the same with more spicy dank, a little pine and onion. Solid bitterness and noticeable alcohol in the finish. Potent stuff, but surprisingly good.

On draught at Ale Arsenal. Dankness is the main aroma with earth, tropical fruit and moderate low cat piss. Hazy brushed gold with full white head that slowly dissipates. Moderate high lacing patterns nicely down the glass. Taste is pine and moderate citrus. Moderate bitterness and moderate low alcohol warmth hide the large ABV. This is very easy to drink at 12.5%. Solid bready malt lends a nice helping hand. Very nice and my favorite from Alpha Acid.
