I had no idea this offshoot of Hitachino Nest after they dissolved their business partnership was now canning. Can shared by my buddy. It’s a coollooking can from which pours a cloudy gold brew while the aroma is cloves and wheat which is bang on for a Weizen, Clean flavor for a good example of the style.

Opaque amber, offwhite or light beige head. Resin and caramel aroma. Flavour is very malty, caramel and resin. Quite sweet, toffee-ish.

Bottle. Nearly black, small beige head. Aroma has milk chocolate, roasted malt and coffee notes. Dry, roasted flavour. Has a little caramely sweetness. Rather light mouthfeel, but not watery. Ok.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Tom L. Black with a tan head. Nice aroma with lots of chocolate, some roast, a bit of dark fruits. Flavor is slightly sweetish, with roast, chocolate, and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Bottle at Brew Beers & Ciders, Sukhumvit, Bangkok. Near black with a big beige head. Aroma of roast, dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, toffee, light licorice and a little overripe dark fruit. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied (surprisingly full for the ABV) with light carbonation.

Bottle at Brew Beers and Ciders, Sukhumvit, Bangkok. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is toffee caramel. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a dry woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Cools and refreshing. It’s all about the hops!
