Description

Sternburg beers have been produced in an own brewery until 1991. After that it was just a brand produced by "Leipziger Brauhaus zu Reudnitz". In 2012 the brewery was renamed to Sternburg Brauerei as the Reudnitzer brand was discontinued.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear, very pale yellow with a small, white head. Slightly spicy pop like aroma - elderflower? Thin and watery, no real malt feel or bitterness. More soda pop than beer, but a NICE soda pop! 140823

--Bottled. -- Clear golden, mid sized head. Clear golden,small head. Piney grass aroma. Dry with light to medium body and clean mouthfeel. Metallic and resinous with some grass. Metallic resinous bitter finish.

Heller herber Beginn. Viel helles Malz bei eher milder Süße, leicht alkoholisch. Zunehmende Bitterkeit im Hintergrund, mild hopfig, süffig. Etwas brotig, zunehmend trocken, kantig. Mittellanger Abgang. 9/10/10/10/11/10

Sternburg Jubiläumsbock, Flasche von Getränke Hoffmann, Großbeeren. - Helles Rotgold, blank. - Schwache Nase mit blassem Karamelmalz und einem Hauch von Zitronenschale. - Antrunk satt und etwas vulgär karamelmalzig mit fetter malziger Tiefe, blasser Zitronenschale, Anklängen an Reifengummi. Milder rezent, vollmundig, leicht fuselig. Im Abgang milde aber aromatisch derbe Hopfenbittere, blaß zitrusherb und krautig. - Es konnte ja nicht anders sein: das Jubiläumsbier der Sternburger schmeckt ebenso billig wie der Rest des Sortiments. Bottled 500ml (bought in Germany) Clear yellow colour, steady small white head. Light nose has hay and touch of butter. Light-bodied. Clean, sweetish buttery malty, hayish hops, touch of cardboard (hop extract) in the finish. Ok clean product but very generic.
