On tap at Steamworks Mt Pleasant, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma has some earthy, medium roast coffee, with little else discernible. Flavour is more martini-like with booze, vanilla, and coffee. Harsh and cluttered. Not good malt base and awkward adjunct presence. Doesn’t work.

473 ml can. Pours almost black with full foamy head. Aromas of fresh ground coffee, vanilla, dark sugars, and slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same but with less sweetness. Coffee definitely overwhelms everything else, but tasty for the relatively low ABV. Not sure where the martini comes in…

16oz @ Phill's shared with Farees, Josh, and Ryan.
Aroma: crispy, some pine.
Taste: clean, crispy, some citrus peel. Finishes with moderate piney bitterness.
Overall: good for the style.

Pale gold, Just a slight haze. Not much head. Bright hop aroma, sort of a fresh pine, light orange, good pale malt balance. Not bad stuff.

473ml can. Pours an opaque dark brown with a small, creamy, short lived, tan head that laces. Aroma of roasted malt, espresso and earth. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, espresso, dark chocolate and vanilla in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. No idea what this has to do with a martini, but it's an aight stout. I 'spose.

Hazy, no head. Light malt, stone fruit and maybe pear hop. Low bitterness. The thing is, good hop expression is a painting. Still needs a frame. Beere used to do malt well.

Cloudy amber, small beige head. Big juicy nose. Similar palate with subdued fruit and medium strength lasting bitterness. ABV well disguised

Pale yellow and hazy, a touch dull. There’s medium tartness, light coconut and sour piña. Other that raising awareness for fruit bats, why?

On tap at Steamworks Mount Pleasant. Pours murky dark brown with a small head. Earthy espresso and dark chocolate on the nose. Flavour has cheap instant espresso, dark chocolate, and some vanilla. The base has just enough roast to give it the colour. A nice idea, but it just feels like the ingredients aren't there.

On tap at The Magnet. Pours clear gold with a white head. Caramelized orange peels and thick resinous pine on the nose. Flavour has bitter pine, resins, grapefruit peels. Good body. The hops could be more assertive on the palate, but otherwise pretty good.
