16oz shared with George @ 🏡 Appearance: hazy straw with almost no head. Aroma: nice funk with barrel notes. Taste: funky, nice barrel, but finishes with very weird bitterness that spoils everything. Overall: I wish this beer wouldn't have this finish that spoils everything.

Pours a very nice gold, modest stormy carbonation, good puffy head though it's already sinking as I type this. Nice fresh melon on the nose, slight pine, a bit of breadfruit. Taste is malty with bitter hops, heavy dankness, dry and oily finish. Very well balanced, really hitting the mark here.

Can from Jak's Parkcrest, Burnaby
Clean dark blond colour. The aroma is quite dank. Lean body, timid caramel, light residual sweetness, some resinous hops, and balanced bitterness.
It's decent, it's clean, but a bit boring.

Clear light gold body and okay foam. Aroma is really weak tart grain, seems clean at least. Taste is soft sour grain, lemon zest, ends a little wet. Too weak, very forgettable.

Clear light gold body and okay foam. Aroma is faint sourness, rather weak. Taste is soft honey, vague grain, smooth but way too wet. Very tepid, little to like here.

Very good solid foam on a deep brownish black body. Aroma is soft cocoa, slight hops, vague plum. Taste is nice cocoa, soft hops, a bit of an imperial stout vibe. Ends a little woo weak, needs to feel more full. Some great idea here but it could be better.

Poured from 473mL can. Clear pale gold with small white head. Light biscuit malt, resin, pine, slightly oily. Needs a touch more malt to really shine.

Pale, light amber. Bright. No head. Has.a decent bitterness, lots of overripe fruit. The malt base is lacking...like a hazy IPA malt base. So for me some structural issues but good to see the attempt.

473mL can, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out oily piney hops upfront, light resins, and biscuity malt. Flavour is moderately dank, with lots of oily piney hops, dank pot-like hops, some resinous oils, and crisp biscuity malt. Dank, piney and resinous. Very well-made.

473mL can, pours a clear darkish golden with a small white head. Aroma reveals plenty of boozy bourbony spirit notes upfront, followed by straw and biscuity malt. Flavour is boozy and herbaceous, with lots of alcohol, concrete (like it was aged in one of HotD's concrete eggs), followed by herbaceous notes and grass. Bizarre. That barrel character doesn't work well with the lager qualities. Not convincing.
