Description
This team of owner-operators was formed shortly after the group realized they all were after the same thing, just in different parts of the province. Brewer John Folinsbee was planning a brewery in Squamish, industry veteran Marc Roberts had his sights on Vancouver while entrepreneur Ben Reeder and builder Adam Steinberg were looking at brewing in the Cowichan Valley on Reeder’s hop farm. After tasting John’s recipes they decided to go all in and combine forces to build the 6000 square foot brewery, tasting room and kitchen in Squamish.

473 ml can. Pours a thick hazy amber with moderate head. Aromas of orange juice, pithy citrus and wheaty malts. Fruity flavors follow same. Thick for the ABV. But it’s just another Hazy albeit with lower than normal ABV. Doesn’t say Hazy or New England on the packaging… Minus points…

Flight pour at Darby's. Pours clear pale gold with a white head. Pine and resin on the nose. Flavour has bright pine, a touch citrus, resinous, and a nice malty base. Solid.

Dark brown. Nitro head. Light body for the style. Molasses, liquorice and light fruitiness. Ok, there is a real beer buried beneath the nitro...tactical error to waste an imperial stout on nitrogen. It's not appropriate at all. I didn't see this in cans. Free the stout.

Pale and bright. Thin head. Herbal, piney, resinous IPA with a biscuity malt backbone. Solid effort.

With Riwaka and Sauvin. Opaque and pale with a thin head. Fruity, but the base is thin, and there's some hop burn. Doesn't feel like Widowmaker base - this is too weak and really lets down the hops here.

Dark brown with a medium nitro head. Mild chocolate and okay malt. Low hop. Ok, but the nitrogen negates some of the punch this otherwise was brewed with. Ruined it, really.

473 ml can. Pours black with short fizzy head that dissipates immediately. Aromas of chocolate fudge, vanilla, and slick roasted malts with a hint of bourbon. Flavors follow same; rich and creamy with additional marshmallow and a bit more bourbon. A yummy pastry stout.

473mL can, pours black with a tiny tan head. Aroma has light cayenne pepper, coconut, light cinnamon, and some bourbon. Flavour is mostly a function of coconut and gentle cayenne, with subtle cinnamon and chocolate. Real nice coconut and cocoa in there, with just enough cayenne to add a kick. Definitely the best vintage of this.
