Slight haze, bright pine and grapefruit on the nose. Similar palate, fairly biscuity malt, medium bitterness, well-balanced.

473mL can, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is full of intense hopburn, lots of chalk soup, and some dankness. Flavour is better than it smells, with dank hops, juicy stone fruits, and then the hopburn kicks in. Still too chalky and soupy, but it's reasonably juicy too. Okay.

Backcountry collab. Darker and duller colour. Light pear hop accent. A bit of burn, not all that complex. On the sweeter side, like a Backcountry IPA, and I prefer that.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Murky pale blond colour. Bright tropical fruit aroma, excellent. Off-dry, but not starchy; good hop notes, that would shine with some residual sweetness; astringency in the finish. Very good.

On tap at The Barley Merchant, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright piney hops, light resins, crisp biscuity malt, and a touch of melon. Flavour is fairly bright, with piney and resinous hops, light stone fruit, and biscuity malt. Nicely hopped in the pine department. Solid stuff.

Murky, dull-looking orangish, like if you zest an orange then set it aside and come back to it two weeks later. That sort of colour. All the pog notes are there, simple light tartness, definitely some lactose. Ok, typical Backcountry sour.
