Draft - Dark chocolate, some coffee and odd fruity notes. Jet black with a decent beige head. Chalky cocoa and a fruity bitterness.

Cloudy, thin head. There's a lot of lupulin powder, with a piney bent. Fresh, and with an orangey, papaya hop powder note. Soft, sweet malts. It's decent, not anything different than dozens of other examples of this style, but decent.

LOL - they did up cans with a spelling mistake. Nice work. And sadly, the beer is also somewhere south of professional grade, at least what was pouring at Hopwired. Medium brown. Mostly fruity and a bit sour. This carries through into the palate. Not going anywhere for me - the malts miss completely and let that weird sour coffee dominate. Not nearly enough care and attention went into any aspect of this product.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours an opaque cloudy peachy yellow with a small white head. Nose is dank and pithy, with stone fruits, dank weedy hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with pithy stone fruits, light tartness, moderately dank piney hops, some sticky resins, and bready malt. Not as complex and refined as some of their other hipster IPAs, but this works well. Another nice IPA from these guys.

On tap at Hopwired Festival, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out fruity roast, light espresso. Flavour is likewise quite fruity, with lactose, dark fruits, and a touch of espresso. Fruity and lightly roasty. It's okay.

Tall can. Pours a very dark brown with a weak head. Aroma is spices, coffee and dark malt. Taste is sweet with coffee, some dark chocolate, and a bit of spices. Quite silky. Good stuff.

Tall can from the JAK's New West. Pours a murky golden with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruits. Similar taste with some hoppy bitterness and malty notes. Not bad.

473mL can, pours black with almost no head. Aroma brings out coffee upfront, with light coconut and subdued cinnamon. Flavour reveals the coffee and coconut upfront, accentuated with light cinnamon. Silky mouthfeel, with a finish of coffee and coconut. Excellent.

Dark brown. Not much head. The aroma is chocolate, with a touch of cinnamon and vanilla. The palate is a bit thin, some coconut, has some coffee, and I swear vanilla but apparently not. Put together it's ok, but these elements have been done better in other beers...it's thinnish and simple compared with the most enjoyable of the style.
