Description
This team of owner-operators was formed shortly after the group realized they all were after the same thing, just in different parts of the province. Brewer John Folinsbee was planning a brewery in Squamish, industry veteran Marc Roberts had his sights on Vancouver while entrepreneur Ben Reeder and builder Adam Steinberg were looking at brewing in the Cowichan Valley on Reeder’s hop farm. After tasting John’s recipes they decided to go all in and combine forces to build the 6000 square foot brewery, tasting room and kitchen in Squamish.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear copper amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and some bready notes. Flavour is quite dry, with crisp biscuity malt and light cereal notes. Easy to drink, but very boring. Decent.

Cloudy pale. Thick head. Aroma is a bit herbal and weedy. Touch yeasty, touch of pale malt. Moderate bitterness, soft and sweet. Diacetyl...oh yeah, don't let this get warm - diacetyl city. Gross.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a cloudy bright peachy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is messy and yeasty, with yeast soup and earthy hops. Flavour is very yeasty, with a huge yeast soup, earthy hops, pithy tropical fruits underneath and light biscuity malt. Way too messy and uncoordinated. This needs some serious work.

@ Alibi. Light amber. Thin head. Has a mellow toastiness on the nose. Similar palate....sticky malt character, it's more ale-like. Ok, the flavour is about right but the malts didn't come out as well as you'd get in the style's benchmark e

473 ml can. Pours a turbid yellow with light head. Aromas of orange juice and wet malts. Flavors of same with pine. OK but not very clean.

Lightly toasted amber Lager. Good but standard. Medium body. Sure, at a local fest it would go over fairly well.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Murky blond color. The aroma is fruity, some cat piss, or human urine, hints of butter. Dry but soft mouthfeel, wheaty flavor base, fruity hops, but also a bit harsh in the final, hints of butter.
Very dirty and a bit flawed, but not too bad.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a cloudy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out citrus hops and yup, diacetyl, with some orange fruits. Flavour is similar, with biscuity malt, oranges, citrus hops and traces of diacetyl. It's not too problematic but definitely needs some cleaning up.

Draught @ Alibi. Cloudy tan, not much head but the body has a nice glow. On the nose, seems a bit yeasty, has a bit of el dorado dank, and fruitier Ella influence as well. Bitter, but with a nice malt sweetness late. A touch yeasty but not too much. The hop flavours are a bit muted - neither hop really shows through with a full expression, but it's a nice brew.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, as "Dry Hopped Blonde Ale"
Murky blond color. The aroma is fruity, the body is lean, dry but not weak; it's a bit chalky.
Good.
