Description
This team of owner-operators was formed shortly after the group realized they all were after the same thing, just in different parts of the province. Brewer John Folinsbee was planning a brewery in Squamish, industry veteran Marc Roberts had his sights on Vancouver while entrepreneur Ben Reeder and builder Adam Steinberg were looking at brewing in the Cowichan Valley on Reeder’s hop farm. After tasting John’s recipes they decided to go all in and combine forces to build the 6000 square foot brewery, tasting room and kitchen in Squamish.

473 ml can. Pours black with full tan head. Aromas of chalky roasted malts, dry vanilla, and dark chocolate. Flavors of vanilla, dry chocolate syrup, and roasted malts. Quite dry in the finish but with some marshmallow notes. Pretty solid IMHO. Very good.

On tap at The Magnet. Pours black with a tan head. Loads of coconut and dark chocolate on the nose. Flavour has a ton of coconut, dark chocolate malts, some charred wood in the background. There's some bourbon character that's buried in there, but it's pretty subtle. Great pastry stout with intense coconut.

473mL can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out plenty of vanilla beans, some cocoa, and light roast. Flavour is rich, with big vanilla, cocoa, and medium roast. Not hugely complex, but there’s a nice malt depth and vanilla character. Very good.

Decent beer, very poor looking and lacks proper carbo/no head retention. Big tropical nose and palate, but appearance seriously affects rating

Opaque orange, small white head.. Big cat pissy citrus nose. Palate is more fruity than dank, somewhat thin. Very light late bitterness

On tap at The Magnet. Pours opaque yellow with a white head. Super dank nose with notes of orange citrus. Flavour has a ton of dank, oily hops, light-to-medium bitterness. Full-bodied, a touch chalky. Not getting a huge fresh hop character, but I do like the hops here.

Brown, head dissipates immediately. Mellow light malt nose. Similar palate with vague fruit notes. Not much here

Opaque yellow thin head. Tropical nose./palate with light fruity bitterness. Quite acidic/astringent which ruins this for me.

Quite pale, thin head, oniony, off-dry, some hop burn, lacks malt. One of their weaker efforts…sulphury and thin. I mean citra and krush it's going to suck, and it does.
