473ml can. Pours an opaque yellow orange with some floaties and a small, foamy, short lived, off-white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet fruity aroma of bready pale malt, passionfruit and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready wheat malt, lactose, passionfruit, mango, guava and floral hops in a tart, slightly acidic finish. Medium body with a thick, creamy, smooth texture and average carbonation. Juicy and delicious.

473ml can. Pours a cloudy yellow orange with a small, creamy, short lived, off-white head that laces. Sweet aroma of bready wheat malt, orange, vanilla and faint coconut. Sweet flavour of grainy wheat malt, tangerine, lactose, vanilla and faint coconut in a dry, tart finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, slightly sticky texture and average to soft carbonation. Definitely makes me think of an orange creamsicle. Fun stuff.

16oz @ Ryan's shared with Farees and Alex (thx for the beer!).
Aroma: sweet, molasses, pepper, some American oak and cinnamon.
Taste: along the same lines, nice dark chocolate notes in aftertaste with some little spice.
Overall: nicely balanced.

Poured from 473mL can. Dark brown with minimal beige head. Chocolate forward with soft coconut, touch of cayenne and vanilla with feint cinnamon backing. Come together quite nicely.

Taste: along the same lines, quite yeasty.
Overall: ok.

Poured from 473mL can. Opaque yellow with small white head. Dank and juicy with mild yeast character. Dankness is more prevalent on the aroma. Hint of hop burn. Enjoyable.

473 ml can. Pours a reddish brown with moderate head. Aromas of sweat, corn, and thin toasted malts. Flavors of grain and corn with medicinal/floral notes. What makes this Mexican? Odd.

Pale and slightly dullish yellow, opaque. Looks more Backcountry than Badlands, in that respect. The aroma pops bright and orangey, with some of those more honeyish NZ accents. On the palate, there's some hop burn and the expression is neither as bright nor as defined. There's a pretty strong alcohol taste as well, somewhat unexpected in a regular IPA.
That's too bad - a bit more restraint would have allowed the same hop as in the aroma show through on the palate. The Backcountry base malt is there, but yeah, sometimes the note you don't play is more important than the one you do.
