Description
This team of owner-operators was formed shortly after the group realized they all were after the same thing, just in different parts of the province. Brewer John Folinsbee was planning a brewery in Squamish, industry veteran Marc Roberts had his sights on Vancouver while entrepreneur Ben Reeder and builder Adam Steinberg were looking at brewing in the Cowichan Valley on Reeder’s hop farm. After tasting John’s recipes they decided to go all in and combine forces to build the 6000 square foot brewery, tasting room and kitchen in Squamish.

Black colour. Aroma of chocolate and coconut. Full bodied, sweet, chocolate flavour, coconut cream, toasted coconut, and the alcohol is well hidden. Big flavour. Very good, although the lactose really coats the tongue in a weird way.

16oz shared with Alex's @ Golden Ears sitting in front of the Alouette Lake opening 2023 season, haha. Appearance: almost black with a beige head. Aroma: loads of coconut, fudge, bourbon. Taste: along the same lines, lots of whiskey. Overall: good one.

Can: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral coffee notes with some sweet fudge notes and vanilla with some bourbon notes. Taste is also a mix of floral coffee notes with some hazelnut notes, some vanilla with fudge and bourbon and some residual sugar notes. Body is pretty full with a creamy feel and good carbonation with no real apparent alcohol notes. Nice pastry stout but a bit sweeter then I would have liked.

Dark brown colour. Aroma of roasted malt, milk chocolate, maybe vanilla. It's smooth, delicate, more chocolate than roasted malts, no adjuncts detected. Good Stout

Toasty, nice chocolate and dry hop. Good balance, hitting the right notes for an irish-style stout.
