We have been best friends of over 30 years, and Container has been our dream for many years. We have been literally building this thing with our barehands, shedding blood, tears and sweat while sharing laughs on the daily. There's never a dull moment here at Container.

The dream is now a reality that is taking shape. We look forward to sharing the results of our hard work with you!

As outdoor enthusiasts we like to get out and experience the world; this is the thinking behind Container Brewing. We want to give people the ability to enjoy good beer anywhere by providing you with only cans of our best products.

We’re building a lounge where you can sit and drink your beer, have a bite to eat, while enjoying good conversation. Our unique space will have you thinking about where to sit before you even arrive.

Our Head Brewer, Tim Juul, comes to Vancouver with a different perspective. His brewing techniques, and recipe styles, come from his experience in the New England area. We love what he's done for us so far and we know you will too.

Taster @ the brewery. Appearance: dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: omg, bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, dark fruits and berries, quite sweet. Last time I was smelling such beers over the border down South, super quialty. Taste: a lot of bourbon, berries, vanilla, slightly sour, some chocolate and roasted malts. It's quite thin for the 11.2% ABV, though, unfortunately. Overall: it is a very nice try. I just wish this would be that rich in flavor as it’s in aroma, but it's still enjoyable.

Taster. Appearance: dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, 🍫, some fruity notes, rye, whiskey. Taste: along the same lines, quite a lot of whiskey, some spiciness. Very low carbo, of course. Overall: pretty good.

On tap at Container, pours black with a small light brown head. Nose is quite barrel-forward, with lots of bourbon, a little vanilla, lots of wood, and prominent roast. Flavour is loaded with bourbon, with intense barrel character, lots of vanilla, and light roast. It has a butterscotch character its base. Very different from both the base beer and the rye barre version. Not exactly elegant and on the harsh side for BA impies, but it's got a lot going on and drinks nicely. Nice attempt.

On cask at Container, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out rich roasted malt, intense wood, lots of rye, some spiciness, and alcohol. Flavour is super woody and boozy, with intense roasted malt, tons of wood, spicy rye, and even some hops. Woody and boozy, bringing out tons of barrel character. Rather abrasive but it's well-made.

Draught at the brewery
Black colour with compact brownish head. The aroma is very different than the regular one, vanilla, bourbon. It comes through thinner than the regular one, with loads of bourbon or other vanilla/charred wood; there's some acidity, and the finish is a bit weak.

Cask at the brewery
Black colour with compact brownish head. Understandably the carbonation is low, and this is not in favour of this pour; it seems to highlight the chocolate notes of the Stout, moderately sweet, with the rye adding some spicy spirit character, but being less intrusive than the whiskey, and less alcohol punch.

Murky blond colour. Nice combination of mild juicy hops and spicy ueast, soft moithfeel, with some astringency and vegetable bitterness in the finish.

Virtual Borders Hazy Weisse IPA from Container Brewing

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Murky blond colour, compact head. The aroma is fruity, tropical, little spicy touch. The mouthfeel is well carbonated, off-dry; the flavour proffile is a bit more spicy and less creamy than most Hazies, this must be the result of replacing oats with wheat; balanced bitterness; the final is even spicier, coriander, pepper; some yeast too.
Pretty good; I wonder how it would be if cleaner (less yeast).
