Cloudy light orange and minimal foam. Faint orange juice aroma, way too weak. Taste is a soft orange, slight sweetness, saved by okay carbonation. Vaguely orange and nothing big about it.

Can. Medium brown, just a bit of haze. No head. There's some coffeeish notes in the aroma, maybe toffee, bit woody. On the palate, medium body, lowish bitterness, and a balance of toasty, cocoa malts. The impression I get is of old school BC - more Nelson After Dark than anything I'd get from Torchlight. You get those couple of basic malt notes, but the beer overall doesn't have a lot of residual sugar (or body), but also lacks bitterness. That puts it squarely in the old school best of no worlds, timid, 'doesn't know what it wants to be when it grows up' type of pocket. Surprised people still brew this type of thing - it was always a weakness that BC had compared with the rest of the world and I guess it still is.

Soft caramel on the nose, has mellow brown body with little foam. Flavour is weak caramel and molasses, mouthfeel is full anyway. It's clean, well brewed but comes across as so very boring.

Soft barley on the nose, has weak watery brown body with little foam. Flavour is boring deep barley and nothing else. Mouthfeel is watery though there's modest carbonation. This is surprisingly tepid.

Soft caramel on the nose, has good clear light copper body with little foam. Flavour is mellow caramel and nothing else. Mouthfeel is full enough. This is weak and pretty boring.

Smells softly of vinegar, nail polish remover but diluted. Has mellow clear yellow body and little foam. Flavour is soft chalkiness and mellow lager hops, mouthfeel is full and there's a bit of dryness but it's still a little weak. It's kind of fun but not that fun.

Soft lemony hops aroma, has okay light clear yellow body with some minimal foam. Flavour is mellow hops and it's all a little thin. Mouthfeel is still too thin though there's okay oiliness. This is unique but simple.

Soft lemon and mellow hops on the nose, has cloudy gold body with little foam. flavour is mellow grain and some soft softness.... if that makes sense. Mouthfeel is full. This is totally lacking character, slightly fruity maybe, and would work well for those who hate beer.

Good rhubarb and mint aroma, has milky light pink body and almost no foam. Flavour is bright sweet rhubarb, a little sugary though. Mouthfeel is full. It's not bad, slightly fake, but still decent.

On tap at Torchlight, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt, with some red fruits and earthy notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with red fruits, earthy notes, and bready malt. Fruity and malty. It's alright.
