650mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out herbal, skunky, pot-like hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is clean enough, with piney, herbal hops, biscuity malt, and crisp crackery notes. Drinkable enough, with a clean, dry body. Decent.

St.Augs. Amber, bright. Not much head. Caramel...not much hop, some light esters. Actually not a bad amber...just a letdown if you were expecting hops.

On tap at Parallel 49, pours an opaque cloudy dark reddish amber with a small beige head. Aroma is quite yeasty, with subdued earthy hops and toasted malt. Flavour is rather jumbled, with dark pithy fruits, earthy hops and caramel malt. Confused and an abrasive mess overall. Difficult to drink.

Bottle - Earthy dark sour notes. Jet black with a small beige head. Dark, fruity, vegetal and sour. Not sure what is going, but obviously too much and too messy.

On tap at Barney's, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma reveals notes of balsamic, perfume and tons of floral notes. Flavour is not too pleasant, with lots of lavender upfront, followed by perfumey floral notes and some balsamic. Not a cohesive or complex beer. Bad concept and poor execution.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma is restrained, with light piney hops and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is subtle, with a nice balance between piney hops and biscuity malt. Dry and pleasantly piney on the finish. Nothing particularly interesting, but it's decently brewed.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours an opaque cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out earthy hops, bready malt and light pine. Flavour is fresh, with oranges, resinous and piney hops, and caramel biscuity malt. Chewy and quite hoppy for a pale. Bottle, Legacy. Medium brown and murky. Spicy hop aroma but a touch yeasty/muddy. Big head. Bitter but then some spicy hop. Switches to a bit of biscuity sweetness but definitely still murky.

Dark amber color, compact head. Light aroma, stronger flavor, with a caramel base, moderately sweet, then loads of orangey hops, a bit woody in the final (tannins?), and possibly a trace of butter that doesn’t disturb. The alcohol is a bit too evident.
Not a bad beer, quite solid. but This is almost a strong hoppy Amber, a very old style IPA, we thought we had left those behind us.

Clean amber color. The lightest caramel aroma. Lean mouthfeel, nice caramel flavor, a bit bready, light residual sweetness, and light fruit jam from the hops that complements the malts. A bit of toast in the final.
Amber IPA’s are not the best, but this is well constructed.
