Poured from the tap @ Monks on Marine Powell River. Clear pale blonde with small white head. Basic corn malt, bland and boring. May as well have a macro.

Hazy orange-amber. Thin head. Fruity aroma with nice toasty malt and a complex yeast profile from the kveik, but also some earthy, herbaceous hops. I appreciate the non-neutral yeast character here. So a relatively bitter English Pale but made with kveik...a mutt of a beer that bears closest resemblance to the EPA concept.

Dark blond colour, clean. The aroma is mildly piney, the malt is crisp, balanced bitterness, with mild piney and resinous notes. Pleasant.

Black colour. Nice coffee aroma. Dry mouthfeel, but soft, it has pleasant coffee accents, maybe oats, balanced bitterness, some ashes in the finish.
Pretty good Stout.

Blond colour, clean. Boring malts and hops, slight acidity, balanced but ultimately boring. Not any better than macro lagers.

Cloudy to murky blond colour. Mild aroma of tropical fruit, smooth mouthfeel, delicate malts, some crispness, and enough hop quality to balance it out. Pretty good.

Murked out amber-brown. Thin, bubbly head. Light, thin, some toasty notes but it’s actually quite harsh on the palate. Ok, the hops aren’t supported by malt, it seems to have overattenuated and the appearance alone says something went wrong. Drinkable, but barely.

Golden and bright. Thick head. Herbaceous nose with some citrus. Medium bitterness, the malt base is solid, light caramel and toast that complements the seasonings well. Not a landmark beer by any stretch but the execution is quite good.

Hazy and slight tan. Mediums head. The aroma is yeasty, with a touch of lemon. The fermentation isn’t that clean though, and of course i feel their kit is big enough that should no longer be an issue.

Pale foggy gold body and just okay foam. Lots of tangy orange on the nose, slight pine. Taste is plenty of chewy piney pineapple, finishes crisp and chewy. Nothing to see here really, just move along.
