Another batch, listed at 3.6, 30. Toasty, amber, moderate bitterness. Ok, pretty classic bitter.

Golden colour. Light malty nose. Low bitterness and a maltish palate. This is the bland golden...they’ve made way more interesting golden beers. Though I’ll say, it’s well-made.

Cloudy, light tan. Medium head. The aroma is fresh fruit - peach, pear, light pineapple and a fair bit of lactose. This tastes like a fruit salad. A yeasty fruit salad. Very low bitterness. Kind of reminds me of that canned fruit salad in syrup from when I was a kid. Maraschino and everything. This is not actually a good thing. Lactose comes across pretty strong, too. I’m pretty sure they hit the mark they were aiming fir, but I’m not a big fan of that mark.

Bright amber. Sweet kiss of malt, slight caramel accent. Nice. Decent bitterness, too. Actually more bitter than either style. So basically a hoppy marzen ale, if that makes sense. Or a good amber, if you want to look at it that way.

Dark brown with a medium, bubbly head. Chocolate, toasty malts and a light grapefruit and pine hop note. Bitter, chocolate and toast. The hops are more on the piney side, chewy and lingering bitter. By the numbers exactly, which works just fine for me.

Bottle - Lots of dark fruity and molasses notes, deep brown with a richbeige head. Dark and sweet roasty notes with a very slick finish.

Bottle - Light flowery aromatics with nice citrus. Clear pale gold with a rich white head. Bright citrus and nice bitterness. Old school but solid.

On tap at Gibsons Tapworks, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out stone fruits, resinous hops and maybe a hint of butter. Flavour is along the same lines, with resinous hops, pithy stone fruits and biscuity malt. A little sweet, with a pithy fruitiness. Needs some cleaning up, but this isn't bad.

On tap at Gibsons Tapworks, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of crisp piney hops and biscuity malt, lightly buttery. A little flawed but it's okay.

On tap at Gibsons Tapworks, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted odd and toasted malt. Flavour is lightly fruity, with toasted malt, dry dark fruits and crusty bread. Nicely constructed, but lacking depth.
