473mL canc pours a clear dark amber / mahogany with a medium beige head. Aroma reveals toasted chestnuts, some dark fruits, caramel, and bready malt. Flavour follows suit, with dark dried fruits, caramel malt, bready malt, and a bit of toasted nuts. The alcohol can be felt on the finish, with fruitiness and moderate-high residual sugars. Little complexity but the malt profile is nice. Good stuff.

Nice dark brown body and some beige foam. Very boozy molasses aroma, sugary and sweet. Taste is chewy molasses, port grape comes on strong, sugary malts and it's all quite boozy. A heavy handed approach to this kind of beer, I mean it sort of works but ultimately it just reminds me of the times it has really excelled.

Foggy yellow body and modest foam. Soft orange zest, slight pine, a little subdued. Taste is smooth lemon zest, slightly tart, lingering sugar. Hops are vaguely everpresent but the whole thing just feels second rate.

Medium pink body and average foam. Soft fruity vanilla aroma, could be more prominent. Taste is a nice vanilla berry, semi-sweet, good carbonation. Subdued fruitiness suits it well, crisp, worthwhile.

Hazy orange body with no foam. Soft orange aroma, vague chalk. Taste is mellow sweet orange, fresh, a little zesty. Ends smooth but not especially full. Just okay.

Okay clear wet gold body and modest foam. Soft floral hop aroma, slightly herbal. Taste is dry corn grain, sweet hops to temper it, vague cardboard aftertaste. Nice crispness, definitely getting there.

Foggy yellow body and minimal foam. Okay piney hops on the nose, slight lemon zest. Taste is much the same on a chalky backbone, slightly wet. Okay but hardly memorable.

Cloudy yellow body and modest foam. Vague rancid pineapple on the nose. Taste is pineapple, slight grain notes, ending smooth and slightly dry. Not bringing as much to the table as it could.

Can from High Point, Vancouver
Murky blond colour; medium sized compact head. Light aroma of apricot and citrus. The mouthfeel is a bit muddy, it's semi-dry, light hop flavour, some resins, bitter orange peel, unripe fruit acidity.
Not bad, but quite dirty.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Dark amber colour, clean. Te aroma doesn't offer much, but the flavour is quite interesting; these's caramel, brown sugar, moderate sweetness, malt, some depth; the alcohol and bitterness are balanced.
It's not too complex, but it's clean and well made.
