5.1/10 β€” Appearance 6 Aroma 5 Flavor 5 Texture 4 Overall 5.5
On tap at GCBF 2016, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is fairly subdued, with light cereal malt, saison yeast and light fruity esters. Flavour isn't very authentic, with earthy yeasty notes and dry biscuity malt. Not really much saison quality to this. Not sure what they were going for here. No good.

Murky pale yellow color, how this is professional is beyond me. Expect to drink a yeast soup, not just spicy (this trait is strong and quite nice), but also muddy, astringent and metallic in the finish. There are hop qualities but get overwhelmed by the yeast mess.
Aggressive, unprofessional, unclean.

Draught at the brewery; 5.5% ABV
Golden color, clean. Smells a bit of paper and vegetables, and light manure (6-). The flavor is better, mild biscuity malts, dry mouthfeel (6+); the hopping is mild, it brings some herbaceous and some resiny notes, and enough bitterness, but more hop quality is expected.
Average Pale Ale, easily forgotten.

Pale blond color, hazy. It has a grassy, earthy aroma, the flavor seems too sweet, but with crispy malt, and a grassy hint; the bitterness can’t possibly be the claimed 42 IBU.
Pleasant Helles, I’m not sure this could be a KΓΆlsch, maybe for the best.

Golden-amber, thin head. The nose has a light hoppy note, sort of wet and then some heavier pale malts. Bitter, but then stale centennial like it’s picked up back of fridge character.

Hazy, blonde. Thin head. Has quite a bit of hop on the nose. Moderate bitterness, continental hop. Rather heavy sulphur/vegetal, a touch of acidity, sweet creamy malts. Some good some bad with this one but the recipe on paper is about right (enough hop to actually be a kolsch is a good start), only execution falters.

On tap at Faculty, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out light piney notes, backed by dry biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with light piney hops and dry biscuity malt. Not overly ambitious, but the hop variety comes out nice. Not bad.

On tap at Faculty, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh cereal malts and crisp crackery notes. Flavour is clean and crisp, with cereal malts, crisp crackery malt and some yeasty notes. Decent amount of hops to it as well, which places it slightly above par for local kolschs, which isn't saying much.

Draft - Chocolate and nutty roast. Jet brown with a decent small light brown head. Nutty, coconut and chocolate notes with a light choclate finish. No oak but some nice light roast nutty notes.

Draft - Earthy hops, fairly subtle. Hazy gold with a decent white head. Pithy citrus, light bitterness and a decent finish. Pretty bland and boring with little of the hops shining through.
