Tap at brewpub near Insa-dong. Amber-orange colour, medium-sized white head. Tropical fruits, light citrus and strawberry in the nose. Medium-bodied. Citrus-resiny flavour, some alcohol, sweetness. Decent, no big faults.

dark brown color. Excellent chocolate malt, a touch of caramel and dark fruit. Slightly sour. Well balanced. Nice example of the style

very grassy nose. Lighter than expected body but onpar for 4.6%. Nice grassiness but body isn’t firm enough. Decent bitter finish. Decent

Medium bitterness. Almost like a minty feeling in the mouth with muscat notes. The hop work well for the style as it doesn’t have the grassiness that many American example have, which can be over bearing. This isn’t massively complex but very sessionable and well made

pours a dirty amber color. Big resiny hoppy nose with big grapefruit character with nice crackery malt backbone. Spicy hops, good bitterness, slightly sweet maltiness, alcohol well hidden big grapefruit character. Feels lighter than it is. Modest aggressive bitter finish. Not over the top but pleasant beer

The Table Seoul Train Double IPA This growler of Korean craft goodness (thanks TimE!) poured out a copper/amber with minimal head. Served in my IPA glass, I get tropical (prickly pear, guava) and more classic woodsy pine notes. Medium bodied and smooth with a balanced flavor. It’s not overly bitter, it features the sweet tropical fruit notes up front then a pleasing mild hop bitterness complemented by biscuity almost rye like notes in the finish. Not that complex but a tasty treat

On tap at band of brewers. Just a little acidity for the nose, but really well balanced flavour profile. Lots of lemon and a really nice level of sour. Perfectly fizzy on the tongue.

Sample at Little Ale in Itaewon. It pours a cloudy gold thick head. Sweet clove spicy nose. Solid Weizen flavor, quite good.

On tap at the brewpub in Seoul. A deep amber opaque pour with a deep beige head. An earthy sweet maltiness in the nose. Light soft mouthfeel on a medium body. Light acidic quality in the finish. Quite nice.

On tap at the brewpub in Seoul. Their Pale Ale has a nice citrusy fruity hop nose with a sweet caramel malt backbone. Soft medium body with a dry finish. The flavor is fruity bitterness. Very nice.
