On tap at Foamers Folly, pours a hazy dark copper with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out astringent hoppiness and dry crusty bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with crusty bready malt and astringent hops. Not really sure what they were going for. This isn't to style, nor is it very well-brewed, yet not disastrous. Not a fan.

On tap at Foamers Folly, pours a hazy bronze with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out caramel malt upfront, with a big wallop of resinous hops in there. Flavour is big n bold, with a big caramel malt base and a huge resinous hop component. Not very harmonious, but not messy. Nice to see something like this done out here in boring beerland. A bit amateur and jagged, but it's quite tasty.

On tap at Foamers Folly, pours a red-tinged deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out notes of dry cocoa powder, English bready malt and some dusty notes. Flavour is earthy and somewhat muted, with dry cocoa, bready malt and dirt. Rather muffled and confused. I could see this working with some tweaks, but as is, it's not wholly convincing.

On tap at Foamers Folly, pours a hazy straw yellow with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out light yogurt, some citric notes and biscuity notes. Flavour brings out the lacto big time upfront, with a touch of citrus. Not much depth and rather thin, but pleasant enough. Decent.

On tap at Foamers Folly, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is very off-putting, with BO / feet and bready notes. Definitely something wrong here. Flavour is a little better but not much, with earthy notes, feet and light British hoppiness. Not too impressive.

On tap at Foamers Folly, pours a clear straw yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast and fruity esters, like a typical inauthentic North American saison. Flavour is expressive on the spicy chili peppers, dominating everything else. A chili bomb for sure without much else. Not my thing.

On tap at Foamers Folly, pours a clear straw blonde with a small white head. Aroma doesn't have much going on other than straw and lightly sweet cereal malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with sweet cereal malt and straw. Clean and pleasant to drink. Decent for this pointless style.

Draught at B’s, Langley
Blond color, just hazy. American Triple: flowery, estery, candyish, oily, a bit vegetable in the final, low bitterness, quite boozy.
Stylistically, it’s so bad. Drinkable? Only if you are planning to get drunk.

Draught at the brewery
Blond color, hazy, small compact head. The aroma is a bit herbaceous, the flavor has some grainy malt and hay, the relative dryness highlights the bitterness, that is thus not too low. Random mild fruity esters here and there.
Clean, easy, not bad.

Draught at the brewery
Hazy dark amber color with compact head. The aroma is a bit earthy, and then mild malt, light manure; somehow not expected; candied fruits later. Good body strength, round mouthfeel; the flavor has more caramel than malt, it’s moderately sweet, but it’s not very deep; quite strong bitterness, that unfortunately turns into a bit of chicory, and no hop quality, as such it’s not an English BW nor it manages to be a relevant American BW.
This is not yet a very good result for a Barley Wine, but it’s still a powerful and quite good beer.
I appreciate that a brewer in BC tried to brew some serious beer, I hope this will continue.
