Amber, bright. Thick head. All kinds of cinnamon on the nose. Decent body, medium bitterness, light caramel malts. Lots of spice but not egregious, mostly because the base is decent.

Pale amber with a slight haze. Thin head. A bit of hop burn, though there’s not a ton of hop expression or bitterness. It tastes hazy even though it doesn’t look hazy. Balanced, if lacking in pop.

A bit murky. Pale. Thin head. Moderate bitterness, a bit yeasty, indistinct fruitiness. The malt on this one isn’t all that great…others on the flight have better malt character.

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a clear dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma has bready malt,, some sweat socks, and a touch of red fruits. Flavour is much better, with dark red fruits, some brown sugar, and bready caramel. Rich and chewy, but not the most sophisticated. Solid effort.

Can at Ryan's
Black colour. Dark malt nose, light petrol, almonds. Good body, soft mouthfeel; roasted malts, dark bread, caramel; straight forward Imperial Stout, well made.

Poured from 473mL can. Very dark brown with small beige head. Mild roast malt, hint of chocolate, very feint fruited note in the background. Competent.

Can. Dark brown. Thin head. Some fudgey aroma with light fruity notes on the nose. On the palate, some burnt malts, dark fruits, hints of molasses, splash of alcohol late.

Dark brown. Thin head. Toasty nose but pn the palate it comes across sweeter. A touch of dark sugars, light esters, but still some leafy, grapefruity hop.
