5 oz. pour on tap as part of a flight at the brewery. Opaque black/ring of head & no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt w/molasses & hint of anise. Taste is roasted malt. Smooth, creamy texture, soft carbonation & finish as taste. Wish taste as nice as aroma.

Can (16 oz.) Pours a copper color with a very slight haze to it. Thin head. Aromas of caramel, silo dust, a bit of herbal hops (decidedly disappointing). Flavor is caramel malt with a bit of herbal hops... but this doesn't really tick any boxes as an IPA. I do recall liking it better on tap, but it has been a while since then. I will say that as I get further through the glass it does get a little better... there is a bit of a pit/tropical fruit edge that at least makes it interesting. Will revisit if I get a chance at it on tap.

Light wood and some spicy grainy notes. Clear gold with a decent white head. Grainy notes and light wood. Pleasant.
