A hazed reddish amber with a thin off white head. In aroma, a grassy malt with chalky notes, so-so. In mouth, a caramel malt with brassy malt, OK. On tap at brewpub, Feb. 13 2013.

Hazy gold beer, tidy white head. Crisp palate, a tad dry but with fine carbonation. Tart fruit, sourish passion fruit with a smooth wheat malt base. Finishes semi dry and with enough sour passion fruit to induce an eye flutter! Refreshing tasty beer!

22 oz. bottle, sent from Elliesbrown (thanks a lot, Zack), pours a deep dark murky reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma of dark fruits (plums especially), brown sugar, and some toasted nuts. Flavour of toasted nuts, plums, brown sugar and more plums - not really a traditional "Belgian" beer, but full of delicious plum complexity. No ABV detectable at all, with quite a complex palate, finishing on notes of plums, brown sugar and a bit of yeast. Becomes slightly cloying after a while, but not in too detracting a way.

Strong on the chocolate syrup, some cocoa powder, burnt sugar and a bit of a creme brulee flavor but more chocolaty.

Bottle at Dunderölsprovning 2012. Clear, deep brown liquid with small to medium light tan head. Aroma of old coffee, maple syrup, light baby corn, biscuit, light smoke, toffee and some light bitter chocolate. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of coffee, maple, light ash and light caramel. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Ok, but quite weird. The coffee flavour just seems old.

Bottle shared at CBC - Clerkenwell, London during the 1st Birthday Celebration. Thanks to Ken for this beer. I believe this was a handbottle or growler. Pours rich brown with a foamy, tan head. Some tandy dark malts on the nose. Medium sweet flavor, lightly roasty, with some honey and plenty of tang. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light to medium sweet finish with tangy, lightly roasted malts and a mead-like honey note. If the tang here is intentional, it isn’t great; however, I’m guessing it’s not on purpose - a pity, as this is my first beer from Funky Buddha.

Tap at the lounge. After finishing my sampler flight I decided it wasn’t quite time to leave even though it was quarter to 2 in morning on Monday night. So I upped the abv so I could hopefully sleep later. Pours nice brown with malty and nutty nose. Tastes of coffee, nuts, malt, earth, and burnt toast. Decdent brown ale hides alcohol well

Tap at the brewery as part of my late night flight, I heard the Buddha does fruity beers right so picked this brew over some of my usual style choices. Pours dirty bloonde quite hazynkt all that pretty. But u get some mango on the nose. Tastes of wheat, pepper, vanilla, grass, and some mango although I feel it could be more pronounced.
