Draft at Peg’s. Cloudy yellow white, the color of Turkish Raki in water with a squeeze of lemon. Aroma of freshly baked pie crust, lime, armpits (in a good way). Taste is funky lime and biscuits. Very nice.

Straw colour and a thin head. Rich, rich passionfruit nose. . Big passion flavour and a creamy body. Oh yeah. Lip-smacking good. A tiny bit thin but people need to make more passion fruit beer. This is the Funky Buddha I’ve been hearing about.

Hazy nut brown. Peanutty, chocolatey aroma. A little bit thin, leaving little body but having an interesting flavour profile based on whatever it is they are using to make it really peanutty. Not especially well put together.

re-rate. Light bronze. Thin head. Fairly assertive hop nose, but the palate is relatively sweet, and with a touch of apple. I wasn’t into this at all when I first had it at the Boca brewpub a few years ago. Not to say it’s anything special now, but it’s improved a fair bit since they built the production brewery and its wide availability make it one of the go-to IPAs down here along with Cat 3 and Jai Alai.

Hazy dull straw. Thin head. Smells like sweet, sweet bubblegum. Very sweet and cloying, not at all what I want in a hefeweizen. The wheat character is muted.

Hazy brownish red. Has a bit of a fruity aroma. Sweetish. Slight caramel and also a little bit of tartness. Not in great form.

Medium-dark brown. The aroma is mostly diacetyl with nuttiness. Harshly astringent, toasty, nutty and full of butter. Gotta take it off tap when it turns.

Draft at Peg’s. Cloudy bright pale yellow color, flat. Aroma of pineapple, lemon, grapefruit, passionfruit. Taste is lemon, grapefruit, dusty passionfruit. Totally differemt than CCB’s offering, much more subtle, still delicious.

Draft: Poured a nice caramel brown with a creamy off white head. Aroma is sweet but hoppy. Taste was nice bitter hops but balanced just right with a malty finish.

Draft: Poured a blackened brown with a tan colored head. Aroma was similar to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Taste was a mix of peanut butter and malt, there was also a fruitiness reminding me of the sandwich it was designed after.
