On tap at Locust, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings light sweetness, red apples and a touch of vanilla. Flavour is quite full, with vanilla, red apples and light-medium sweetness. Finishes with vanilla and medium sweetness. Solid stuff.

Bottle - Smoke and Berry. Reddish clear with a small white head. Smoke and Berry are executed well, just not sure it works for me.

22 oz. bottle, courtesy of andrewje41 (thanks a lot, Andrew!), pours a deep dark pinkish purple with a small off-white head. Aroma is heavy on the smoke upfront, with very subdued blueberries. Flavour is more dynamic, with quite a sweet blueberry quality and heavy smoke -- unusual mix of flavours, but I think it works pretty well. Nice sweetness and smoke mix. Good stuff.

Tasting at Matt’s
Burgundy color. Mild aroma, but there is enough going on: fruits, Beaujolais, light smoke. The mouthfeel is quite sweet, but the body is lean; it doesn’t have evidence of cider flavor, but it has some delicate berry, some delicate smoke, and light astringency in the final; the acidity is there, but lower than an average cider.
Appreciated; I like the concept, I hope they push it a bit more even.

Purplish colour. Pretty big smoke aroma, with some phenols, bit of blueberry. The palate is an odd mix of apple, smoke and blueberry. The latter is the most subtle element. The body is ok, touch of sweetness, not a whole lot of acidity. The combo of the smokiness and the fruit is a bit odd, even though I like the elements individually.

On tap Ravenna Brewing. Pours a clear yellow gold with paper thin white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is apple and pear. Thin body, apple, pear, oak, tart finish.

12 oz can poured to my Locust can glassware. Pours a dark grape juice color with a pink fizz head that’s gone with the blink of an eye. Sweet red delicious apples and candy cherry aroma. Flavor is juicy, cherries, apple. Flavor seems non alcoholic despite a slight vinegar like hint that comes through. Juicy all around. Tasty cider.

12 oz can poured to my newly acquired Locust can pint glass. Pours a pale yellow color with no head. Aroma is so dry, it almost seems boozy as a result. Strange. Flavor, also very dry, slightly sour green apple, dry finish. Well executed dry cider here, but a bit less of what I typically look for in a cider. A fitting "plain" flavor to pair with the rest of their lineup.

Bottle pour at Hop and Hound for the series release party. So much unique stuff. This one, equally as unique as the rest, but less amazing. Midnight purple pour witha foam head that tries to match color. Bold aroma of grape, apple, and oak. Flavor is desert dry, with wood up front, mixed berry, grape, and a dusty finish. Definitely different. Interesting as well. Trying hard to figure out how I feel about this. Not bad.

Once again, its so nice to see cider with as many unique qualities as these ones. Bottle pour at Hop and Hound for their series release party. I seriously can’t get enough of the smoke quality here, as well.as how well it pairs with the blueberry. Would have never thought they would fit together so well. Reddish purple pre with a foam head that lasts. Cider with head, it’s already unique without tasting it anyway. Mixed berry, smoked second, true blueberry juice finish. Not sweet. Bold. Unique. Amazing cider. Please let this one stick around.
