Dark as the night this one, and a fine thick beige head. Pleasant intensity in the aroma. Mellow carbonation level. Quite easy to drink. A little bit to sweet in my opinion. Also a bit to much roast a bit to low hoppy touch for a bipa. Still a god beer. Also fruity and lots of dark malt.

Tap. Pours clear reddish black, melon beige head, long lasting, good lacing. Aroma is roasty, a bit grainy, roasty, coffee grounds, roasted malt, light pine. Flavors is light sweet, light plus bitter, roasty, bitter without a lot of hop character. More like a bitter Schwarzbier.

Dec. ’16. On tap at the brewpub (Trastevere). It poured hazy copper to amber body with medium sized head. Light herbal and grapefruit hop aroma. Flavor was bitter, not much, but building up toward the finish. Malty counterpart was very light, biscuity. Lightly yeasty too, but thin bodied anyway with watery impression. Finish was moderately long with that typical brewpub touch of lightly sour hops, herbal and piney, rather fine. Only a touch of alcohol here as well. An okay brew, might be a bit unbalanced to bitter with a bit too dominating green grassy-pine touch in the finish, like it wasn’t yet ready to be served, but a quite decent brew anyway.
