900th rating. Pours an orangey-amber from a can. Piney aroma and flavor, I really am not picking up on any citrus characteristics at all. Bitter with a weak malt backbone. Meh.

Can from Bert;s Slightly hazy deep yellow with a bubbly white head that shows moderate retention. Grassy HUGE citrus especially juicy grapefruit and pith with light apricot on the nose with some faint crackery malt underneath. More pith than juice in the flavor although both are present. Resinous lightly grassy flavor with some faint crackery malt to counter. Lingering bitter resinous finish. Its juicy like they say, but its also harshly bitter and lightly astringent. Decent, but needs some work if it wants to hang with the best of them.

4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Clear golden orange with off-white head. Soapy aroma up front followed by floral and light citrus. Tastes of citrus, floral, light soap, biscuit. Medium body with a dry finish.

Jet black, with brown generous head. At first the aroma offers strong notes of American espresso, later it gets more creamy, like a cappuccino, probably from the oak. The mouthfeel is very smooth, so the strong roastiness adds an interesting sharp edge to it; the flavor is based on roasted malt that blends with dark coffee beans; the grains and beans provide a degree of acidity that is slightly beyond my liking, and some ashes too, and overall this leaves a metallic feeling; balanced bitterness; very mild sweetness for the style; the oak is not very evident in the flavor.
Expectations met; very good coffee Imperial Stout.

Can from Bert’s Pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a huge off white head that persists. Light DMS initially with some faint bready pilsner and apple on the nose. earthy floral hop aromas. Bitter flavor with a slight chalk and barely any malt to balance it. Light astringency, Fairly dry finish. Not horrible but needs a bit of work.

Pours an amber from a can with a thick white head, lots of lacing and foam staying. A little lemony aroma and flavor, but mostly a nice crackery malt with some noble hop bitterness. Good beer.

Pours a mostly opaque muddy dark straw from a can, thick white head, lots of lacing. Big mango and citrus aroma is followed through in the mouth, nice malt backbone is big enough to warrant being called a pale ale. Very good beer.

Can: Marigold bouquet with mint and pine accents, thyme. Cloudy amber, medium head. Piney, marigold, grapefruit. Medium body, easy carbonation, slightly resinous. More bitter than the companion Crush, but not singularly piney either, which is good.

Can: Lillies and tangerine aroma, not super strong. Cloudy amber, medium head. Orange, tangerine, and lilles, dry. Medium body, easy carbonation, bitter and resinous. Hop forward with little malt presence. Fruity yes, but surprisingly floral as well. Not a one trick pony.
