Golden color, clean. Lovely blond malt base, lightly sweet, with a good amount of resiny and fruity hops on top, relatively drinkable, and managing quite well the alcohol too.

Amber color, clean, with compact head. Smells of refined sugar and husks; dry mouthfeel, some dusty cereals, and strong bitterness. It has a light puckery feeling, not rare in these beers.
Didn’t like this too much.

Hazy golden color, creamy head. The aroma shows some fruity hops, the body is a bit too sweet, oily, the hops have some strong resiny and animal character. Good IIPA, but harder to drink than the other 2 IIPAs I had here.

Cloudy blond color, creamy head. The aroma is lemony and spicy, the mouthfeel is smooth, delicate spicy flavor, light fruity esters. Elegant beer, very well made.

Cloudy amber color. The aroma is a bit weird, esters, fruits, some spices. Bold body, moderately sweet, some malt flavor, but also some sourness, light fruits and light spices.
To me, it seems like a sweeter version of American Saison, not particularly interesting.

Dark mahogany color, creamy beige head. The black malts are very good, a bit chocolatey and not ashy, and the hopping is very resiny. Excellent, bold.

Dark mahogany color. Strong aroma of roasted bread. Dry but bold mouthfeel, roasted malts flavor, almost coffeish. Like a good Schwarzbier.

Clean. Nice. Like an oatmeal stout.

Ok, this is my last visit to Standard. Brewery has a new assistant brewer, this must be his creation bc it’s a hazy golden coloe, can’t see through it. Not the typical hoppy beer. Though the malt base is neutral and let’s the hops play. Not a bitter hop character. The El Dorado hop in itself is present and a bit dull. It’s basically character-less but definitely there. Sort of like American sheet cake. It’s definitely cake but as white washed as possible. I can’t imagine a more dull single hop.

Draft 5 oz pour at Standard. A super smooth and juicy IIPA here. In no way is it boozy for a beer knocking on the double digit door. Pale yellow pour with an island head. Just a hint of hops aroma. Flavor is fruity. Some apple like character in there, making this a little different. Sweet settling hop finish. Bonus point for being so different. Swell beer here.
