Super Fly Imperial Rye IPA from Standard Brewing

Drat - Caramel and orange notes. Clear copper with a decent white head. Sweet and oily orange with some tropical notes. A little on the sweet side but nice.

Flight at brewery. Dark brown color, sticky lacing. Fumy roast on nose. Bitter hops. Green hops. The roast really gets In the way for my palate. Dusty rough and dry finish. The roast don’t work for me.

Draft - Caramel and twig notes. Clear copper with a decent white head. Toasted malts and burnt notes with a very dry finish.

Flight at brewery. Hazy straw color, low clarity. I love the idea of the beer but it’s soap, beer soap. Soapy, lemony, ginger even. Cool but no bueno.

Draft - Roasty pine. Deep jet mahogany with a rich beige head. Roast, pine and bitterness. Simple, but really well done. Balanced roast and hops.

Draft - Nice sweet tropical fruits. Clear gold with a decent white head. Bitter grapefruit pith and a very dry finish. Maybe a bit too dry.

Rye IPA from Standard Brewing

Flight at brewery. Amber copper clear copper. Sticky you lacing. Sticky hops aroma, some pine and some sweet hops. I enjoy the hop mix. In the flavor the hops lose some sparkle and I need some malt character, which is missing. The sweet hops and moderate hop bitterness comes out a the end.
