Description
Maui Brewing Company was founded by Garrett Marrero and Melanie Oxley. They started as a single brew-pub, a small restaurant that served its own locally brewed beer in January 2005. Demand for the beer outgrew the space available in the brewpub and in 2007, Maui Brewing Company started producing and packaging beer out of a separate production facility. In 2012 Marrero and Oxley opened yet another larger production facility, which increased their capacity from 18,000 barrels of beer to almost 40,000 barrels.

12oz can pours a totally transparent, bright yellow gold with a frothy, clumping white head. Nose is pleasant, some mango, some citrus, light sweetness. Flavor is real solid, malty, sweet, crackers, lemon, lime. Medium bodied, dry finish. Good session beer.

Can - black pour with a sudsy tan head - aroma has a fair amount of coffee character at first, so when the coconut comes in with its sweetness and vanilla notes, it gives an overall impression of coffee with some of that artificial flavored creamer in it - fairly sweet, with some milk and vanilla character from the coconut - fairly bitter roast and hops that do not mix well with this character - slight astringency - overly bitter finish, considering the other characteristics of the beer - messy, but a few good things happening.
