Description
Maui Brewing Company was founded by Garrett Marrero and Melanie Oxley. They started as a single brew-pub, a small restaurant that served its own locally brewed beer in January 2005. Demand for the beer outgrew the space available in the brewpub and in 2007, Maui Brewing Company started producing and packaging beer out of a separate production facility. In 2012 Marrero and Oxley opened yet another larger production facility, which increased their capacity from 18,000 barrels of beer to almost 40,000 barrels.

Bottle. Too thin to be able to control all the flavors (chocolate, coconut, coffee etc). Fuuny but not really a good porter.

can, pours black wtih a medium tan head, good lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, cocoa, and coconut....really nice. Full roasted malt body, some bakers chocolate and a light hint of sweet coconut in the finish. I really enjoy the freshness of the coconut and that it isnβt rediculously sweet. Carbonation is moderate with a medium body. Highly drinkable and mildly rich, so you can have a few.

Can. A pale golden beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with hoppy notes of citrus fruits and on a lightly malty back ground. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and quite a lot of hops lending it notes of hay, grapefruit, and fresh grass, leading to a bitter finish.

Pale greenish yellow with a small white head. The aroma has sulphur - strong DMS here - malt, grass, green peppers and a hint of citrus. Dry and grainy, grassy flavour with a touch of biscuit-y malt in the finish.
