Description
Founded in 2012, Cloud 9 Brewery is a nanopub concept featuring locally sourced and organic components in both the brewery and restaurant.
With an emphasis on creative brewing, Cloud 9 is situated in a unique place in the market. Instead of having the exact same line-up from month to month, the beers on-tap at Cloud 9 change as soon as the last drop from the previous batch has been poured. With so many taps, and only 6 year-round beers, the variety is truly amazing.
Cloud 9 also features a unique feedback process by which we judge what beer-drinkers actually think. We collate and analyze the input and use that to shape the direction of the next batch. In this way the community is involved in the brewing process from concept to the final foamy pint.
A commitment to quality, service and genuine interest in our community make Cloud 9 Brewery the place for beer aficionados, foodies, and everyone who enjoys fresh and unique culinary creations.

On tap at the NB Hazy deep dull golden. Faint wispy head. Basic malty cereal flavors. A little fruity HP flavor but does not approach IPA level hoppiness or bitterness.

Draft at brewery. This brewery continues to confuse me. WTF? Hazy medium golden, soft bubbly head. Faint fruity aroma, lemons, slightly floral. Emulating the NE style.? But taste doesn’t carry through, light, sweet, not hoppy. Barely APA territory. What were they after. Not bad, but not much of anything.

Draft at brewery. Dark, ruddy brown with small, soft bubbly head. Not a weizen pour. Faint roast aroma, taste picks up a bit. Decent feel. More of a dark wheat ale than a true weizen. Mild bitter finish from the dark malts.

On tap at the NB Lousy light brown wispy light tan head. Toasted malt flavors. Kind of sour and thin. Dark fruit yeast notes. Don’t love it.

On tap at the NB cloudy peach light tan with a clingy coarse lacing. Great soft Belgian pale malt aroma. Some bitter citrus peel and fruity Belgian yeast notes. Smooth and would not have guessed 8%.

Draft at brewery. Hazy, pale golden, soft soapy head. Aroma spot on, taste follows, tropical fruit. A bit thicker than the norm, but I guess that’s where the Imperial comes in. Nice feel.

Draft at brewery. Medium amber, hazy, small head. Leaning more on the malts. Caramel and toffee in both taste and aroma. Mosaic hops hiding somewhere. Comes off as the English style.

Draft at brewery. Medium golden, clear, small head leaves lots of lacing. Grainy throughout, closer to a maibock. No hops present at all. Gets a bit funky at the end. Near miss.

On tap at the Boise NB Lawson clear light pale golden thin wispy white head and spotty web-like lacing Very light and pale malt flavors. Very little hop character. Less than a typical pils. Light and clean though.
