But we’re more than just brewing, we’ve got good food to boot. The Prodigal Son features a menu that combines traditional pub fare with scratch cooking. Here you will find regional ingredients incorporated into handcrafted cuisine. We have a bona fide chef with an artist’s muse- and his work is truly the product of inspiration. Our food is unique –you might even say it has character.
We’re proud to be back home, here in Eastern Oregon. Come visit anytime, and stay as long as you like. We hope you will join us on our journey to beervana. Lucky for you, your efforts will be rewarded with good beer.

From crowler. Cloudy gold, minimal white head. Grains, blueberry, huckleberry. Not bad.

On tap at the Pendleton BP. Clear light golden with a coarse white head. Big bold fresh and distinctively grapefruit pot aroma s and flavors. One of most authentic flavor profiles I’ve ever had of this style. Terrific .

On tap at the Pendleton brewery/taproom. Listed on the chalkboard at 8.8% slightly hazy light pale golden soapy bright white head. Fairly tame for a double bright grassy hop flavors. Not a lot of lingering bitterness. Would it have guessed the posted 94 IBU

On tap at the Pendelton brewery/taproom. Slightly hazy light amber. Some nice toasted malt and fruity plum and bubblegum yeast character. Well attenuated and lacking that dull smooth palate of others of the style. Nice flavors though.

On tap at the Pendleton brewpub. Clear light bright golden with a fine off white head. Clean sharp pithy hop aromas and flavors. Dry and squeaky and a nice clean bitterness. Well attenuated and slaughter agressive for a pale. Not bad

On tap at the Pendleton brewpub. Hazy pale peach yellow color. Thick soapy white head. Soft subtle fresh hop aroma. Light citrus flavors and low bitterness. Refreshing.

On tap at the brewery/taproom. Black with a full loft tan head. Lots of dark roast and some lactose to soften it up. Low bitterness and notes of bitter chocolate and cold campfire. Nice

On tap at the brewery. Deep orange golden with a thin off white head . Nice pithy citrusy hop flavor and full bodied. A little amber/toasted malt. Late tannin like bitter bite

Draught.. Black pour with off white head. Coffee and malt aroma. Very full bodied with coffee, chocolate and malt notes in the finish. Well balanced finish. There is a bit of hop there.
