On nitro tap at Whistler, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts and light fruitiness. Flavour is balanced but bland, with bready malt and light dark fruitiness. Very bland and boring. Meh.

On tap at Whistler, pours a clear dull yellow with a small white head. Nose is clean, with biscuity malt and light spicy grassy hops. Flavour brings out spicy grassy notes and a dry crisp crackery malt. Dry and grassy, with a light spiciness. Clean and drinkable. Nice stuff.

Draught at the brewpub; 12oz
Cloudy red-amber color with small creamy head. The aroma is too light, there is some malt, nuts, milk chocolate. Round mouthfeel, a bit less body than expected, some malt and caramel flavor, moderately sweet, lightly nutty in the final, ordinary bitterness.
A good beer, but simple, not trying to achieve anything special.

Amber. 1 y.o. barley wine. Smells like phenolic barley wine and tastes like it too. Candied blueberries, bubblegum, pretty heady as well, so not getting it done for me. For me, too sweet and phenolic to enjoy, but that’s BW for you.

Golden-amber, berryish amarillo nose...very Dix IPA. Taste is sweet and bitter, clean and fruity taste with lots of bitterness. Not as sticky as Dix IPA.

Frothy, rich oaty, chocolatey taste, full body and complex malt, mild bitterness but it’s handling the nitro well enough. Yummy oatmeal stout, with that nice fatty oatmeal character.

On cask at Yaletown, pours a cloudy orange amber with a small white head. Nose brings out lots of oranges, resinous hops, and candied sugar. Flavour is well-balanced, with notes of resinous hops, caramel sweetness and candied sugar quality. Well-balanced, not too sweet but malty. Good.

Cloudy dark bet color with small head. The aroma is quite malty , lightly fruity. Full bodied, with nice malt flavor, caramel, quite sweet ; hints of toffee; good bitterness level, with delicate fruity impression from the fermentation; alcohol warmth.
Clean and quite pleasant. Almost a British Barley Wine.
