Hazy amber color. Big stone fruit, peaches and apricots jump from the mouth. Hugely hoppy little backbone. Light body fun little beer

650 ml bottle. Pours a clear gold with moderate head. Aromas of sulphur, white pepper and wet wheat. Nice spicy flavors of wheat, coriander, light orange, and dry lemons. Odd nose but really nice otherwise. Need to find this in the summer...

Light haze. Thin head. Light coriander, vaguely malty nose. Lemony, lots of pithy bitterness. Good balance.

Nose and palate of dirty old socks with some vague roast. Love this brewery’s stuff, but this is poor !1

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Black color with than head, not persistent. It has a nice aroma of boutique coffee, it’s lean and dry, rather roasty, with a dry finish, and some citrus peel. More Stout than Porter, not much evidence of orange. But it’s a good beer.

Bottle from Brewery Creek
Cloudy pale yellow color, medium sized head. Very nice aroma, nice spicy character and a bit fruity too. The mouthfeel is soft, rather dry but not weak; it has a strong character of yeast, maybe a bit too dirty, and with some nice hops, maybe Citra.
Very nice.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is odd, almost smelling like garbage juice, with burnt malt, no hint of orange. Flavour isn't as offensive, with burnt roasted malt, maybe a touch of orange peel and a hint of garbage. This is unusually off the mark for Barkerville. Some unfortunate off-notes here it seems. Needs work.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Nose is quite spicy, with lots of coriander upfront, with some citrus zest and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is very fruity, with lots of stone fruits upfront, followed by a touch of coriander and some citrus. Very fruity and fresh. For a typically boring style, this is really nice. Very nice.
