Description
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TAKE A HOBBY WAY TOO FAR…
Back in 2007 Graham Sherman met his buddy and Tool Shed co-founder Jeff while working on Government / Military IT infrastructure and satellite communication projects throughout Afghanistan. They connected over a love for taking their hobbies WAY too far and Tool Shed Brewing is the natural result of two good home brewing friends that took their favourite hobby further than most.

From its inception in Graham’s back yard tool shed on a basic 5 gallon home-brew system, Tool Shed Brewing Company has always been destined for great things. Today Graham and the amazing team at Tool Shed bring an obsessive love for great craft beer and a high level of geekery to the craft of making it!

Everyone grew up being told to find something you love to do, and then find a way to make a career of it! Almost every home-brewer who’s taken that first sip of their VERY OWN, home-brewed creation, has experienced that contemplative smirk break across their face as they enjoy their craft, all the while, fantasizing about quitting their job in favour of a lifetime of bringing great beer to like minded people.

As Tool Shed Brewing continues to grow we naturally continue to run into more like-minded people with the same passion and are building our brewery around these great folks at the core.

Modest head and black body. Very soft roasted barley aroma with a hint of hop sharpness. Flavour is decent coffee with hints of chocolate and a hoppy finish. Pretty good. Sessionable.

355ml can. Pours a cloudy, golden orange with a large, short lived, off-white head that laces. Sweet aroma of tropical fruit, coriander, clove and yeast. Sweet, hoppy flavour of topical fruit, yeast, and lots of spices with a mildly dry, bitter finish. Medium body with a thick, oily texture and soft carbonation. Pretty good. A pleasant surprise.

355ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange with a thin, fizzy, white head. Light malty aroma with peach and corn. Sweet fruity flavour with caramel malt, corn and grass. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Easy drinking, but boring.

Soft roasted malt aroma and okay head with a dark copper body. Flavour is sharp malt trying to be nutty but not quite succeeding. Dry finish, perhaps obviously. Just okay and lacking finesse.

Very soft grain and hazelnut notes but sadly the aroma is hard to pick up. Modest head and copper body. Tart and fruity flavour, hints of cherry, sweeter than expected. Not what I was hoping for and fruitier than I would have liked, but I’ll finish this glass.

Okay head and okay gold body. Soft (very soft) grain aroma. Flavour is weak lager with a watery finish. Not at all the decent cream ale i’d expected.
