(red ipa with orbit hops). A hazed orange amber ipa with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, grassy malt with light herbaceous hops, citrus pulp, very nice. In mouth, a nice herbaceous biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and smooth. On tap at Bar Volo.

A deep dark stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, pleasant sweet chocolate malt with grassy hops, light coffee, coconut, espresso, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with coffee grind, musty character, light vanilla, pleasant. Cask Days 2014.

A lightly hazed reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, nice fruity caramel malt with treacle, vinous character, dark fruits, floral hops, resinous and piney. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with vinous notes, light licorice, alcohol warmth, pinot de charente, beautiful. Cask Days 2014.

(On tap at Bar Volo, Mar 20 2014) Pours black with a dense, frothy tan head, some lace. Lovely aroma of chocolate/roasted malts and a lot of hops, resinous but also some fruit character, grapefruit/tropical. Flavour has somewhat sweet dark malts, moderate roast, a fair amount of resinous, grapefruit pith hop character to start. Towards the finish, moderate hop bitterness combined with some roast, fairly dry and reasonably refreshing ending. Mouthfeel is quite full and carb soft, very nice to drink. Top notch black IPA, good balance of hop and roast character. Recommended.

On tap at Bar Volo, pours a deep dark mahogany with a medium beige head. Aroma of toasted malt, English malt, and toasted nuts. Flavour brings out bready English malt, toasted nuts and roast. Very easy drinking and mild, yet fairly flavourful. Great stuff.

On tap at Bar Volo, pours a super dark mahogany / dark brown / black with a small tan head. Aroma is like that the Fermium black IPA, with loads of roasted malt and resinous hops. Flavour is nothing like a traditional ESB and more like a black IPA with an English malt bill, with notes of English roasted malt, bready rye notes, and substantial piney hops. Full-flavoured and creamy on the mouthfeel. Excellent stuff.

On tap at Bar Volo, pours a see dark brown / near black with a tiny off-white head. Aroma is fairly roasted for a porter, with notes of oats and roasted malt. Flavour is the same, with a very smooth, dry mouthfeel. Finishes roasty, with no residual sweetness. Great stuff.
