1 L siphon. Pours dark brown, golden amber with a minimal off-white head. Mild roasted malt aroma, towards breadish. Sweet breadish malty at first with a more hops spiced and roasted malt flavour following. Surprisingly tasty. Ends with a smooth bitter and roasted malty finish.

Hazy dark amber with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with yeasty aroma with roasted roasted malt, caramel and spicy notes. Flavour was somewhat spizy and had roasted malt, caramel and chocolate notes. I l iked it. Not bad.

(On tap) Hazy amber golden with a small off-white head. Lightly roasted malt aroma. Medium body with light caramel and then completely dominated by distinct bittering hops that appear completely out of place in a Dunkel. I wonder if this is basically made from Klüvers Pils recipe - only with darker malts. 020708

(On tap) Very unclear golden with a dense white and lacing head. Aroma is pure yeast and nothing else really. Medium body with a soft mouthfeel, but very few Hefe esters - if any at all. The finish is dry. Wonder if this was made without a Hefe yeast. Very disappointing. 020708

(On tap) Clear golden with a white head. Good, hoppy nose. Medium body with clean malts but otherwise completely dominated by a very distinct bitterness. Classic North German "herb". 020708

Bottled. Lightly hazy bright yellow, creamy head. Grassy nose with notes of butter. Dry and soft with superb buttery malt character covered in lots of grassy hops. Long herbal bitter finish. Yeah! This is great. Superbly drinkable and refreshing. Why was the bottle only 1l?

Draught. Cloudy golden/orange colour. Small stable white head. Quite bitter, sourish bitterness, astringent. No esters, spices or lemon flavour. Vinous sourness and thin mouthfeel. Strange Weizen.

Draught. Weak caramelly aroma. Cloudy brown colour, close to muddy. Small semi-stable head. The flavour is also mild, no diacetyl, medium bitterness, hint of caramel and malt.
