12 ounce can from Woodman's Appleton, 6/28/20. Hazy orange, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of leafy, herbal hops, cider vinegar, pale malt. Taste is dank, resin, grapefruit, pale malt, and a hint of vinegar. Thin. Vinegar adds a nice touch and is not overdone. Overall solid.

Can (pkgd 8/02/19) pour from Harvest Market, Bedford (R.I.P.). Appearance is clear golden yellow with nice sparkle, finger-width foamy white head and trace lacing. Aroma is moderately strong lightly musty funk, tart fruit, lime, stale ginger ale, yeast. Taste is much like aroma--musty funk, dusty pilsner malt, mild lime and old ginger ale. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and very crisp, dry finish that tastes very much like nothing with dry lingering bitterness. Overall, the appearance is the highlight and is fairly attractive. On the plus side, there are a variety of aromas and flavors but none are particularly desirable and the sum is not greater than the sum of its parts. I've never really liked Kolschs to begin with and this does nothing to stir my interest.

Can (8/2/19) pour from Harvest Market, Bedford (R.I.P.). Appearance is attractive amber-red with nice sparkle, finger-width off-white foamy head with fair retention and trace lacing. Aroma is mild black currants and background bready malt. Taste is moderately bitter mixed with mild bittersweet currants and late malt base. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, watery texture, average-to-lively carbonation and crisp, dry mostly bitter finish. Overall, stars promising with gorgeous look and decent aroma. Bitterness is too high in the mix and aroma and flavor are weak. Mouthfeel is lacking in a variety of ways.

Can (8/6/19) pour from Harvest Market, Bedford (R.I.P.). Appearance is clear very dark brown (virtually opaque, but ruby red element with light source directly behind), trace sparkle, finger-width beige head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is pleasant mix of roasted malt, coffee, coconut as would be expected. Taste is strong coconut over the roasted malt and coffee with the product yielding a burning plastic quality. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, lively carbonation and crisp finish devoid of a lot of flavor and mild lingering roasted bitterness. Overall, appearance and aroma are decent enough and I really thought they might have something here. Flavor combination/recipe needs to be reworked and way too carbonated.

12 oz. can in a trade with tfontana. Canned 08/09/19Aroma is soft coconut with weak coffee. Flavor is mild chocolate, weak coffee, and a hint of coconut. Considering the age and the ABV of this beer it’s not bad. Hands-down the best of the 3 Sufferfest I’ve tried.

12 oz. can trade with tfontana. 09/02/19. I take the canning date into consideration. Pours a clear reddish color. I let this brew warm up and still had a hard time getting aromas and flavors. Soft berry character, weak grain, and a weak hint of salt. Not awful just very weak.

12 oz. can trade with tfontana. Pours a clear golden color with a normal sized white head. The aroma and flavor have weak honey, light florals, white bread. Does anyone know what bee pollen actually taste like? Thin watery body and texture. Kind of bland.

12oz can. Purple-red body. Massive pink stained head. Sort of a goofy fruit beer. Thickish but depthless currant extract/puree tone. The salt doesn't really work as well as it would in a Gose. Lackluster stuff, really unappealing. Certainly not a Pale Ale, and certainly not a good fruit beer.

12oz can. At this point through the mix pack I know I would never buy another Sufferfest beer, but here we go again. Sort of clean body, not much malt tone. Mild dried out honey. Weak, artificial, plastic tone. Lemony-lime artificial oddness. Not that good.

12oz can. Rather thin bodied for a Stout, not a lot of malt depth, but pretty good for a gluten free-ish beer I suppose. I personally wouldn't have picked the mix pack up if I knew it was gluten free stuff. Comes off a little soda-like. Caramel, chocolate, faint coconut, faint coffee. All around mediocre, surely would not revisit.
