Shaker pint draft at Noble Rey Brewing in Dallas, Texas. The pour is a slight haze copper, darker golden with a smallish off white head. Nice lace left behind on the glass.. The aroma is big floral sweet, caramel malt along with some grass and evident alcohol in the back. The taste is very miuch the nose with big floral sweet hop, caramel malt, grass resin and alcohol in the finish. The drying alcohol burns and lingers a bit in the aster taste. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and mineral sweet alcohol finish. The booze strengthens as the beer warms. This is a solid Double IPA, though it reminds me why it is a style I don’t drink much anymore.

On tap at Intrinsic. Pours a cloudy orange with medium creamy white head that lasts. The aroma is funk, yeast, citrus. Medium body, citrus, funk, oak, light tartness, very good.

12 oz can purchased as a single at Spec’s Liquor in Dallas, Texas. The pour is a cloudy brown golden with a minimal tan head. The aroma is a nutty malt along with a toasty wood. The taste is peanut, wood and a toasty tobacco grass. Some fruit sweetness as the beers warms. Comes together nicely. The palate is medium to heavy bodied with soft natural carbonation and wood dry finish. Interesting.
