Sweet dark malty with some nice overt rum character shining through, opens up as it warms, notes of toffee and caramel sweetness, cocoa, full bodied, wooden run washed lingering malty finish. Very nice.
Dark sweet and roasted malty with notes of chocolate, carnal and toffee sticky sweetness, medium to full bodied, dark malty brandy infused malty close. Lovely stuff.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Black, small head. Aroma of soy sauce, seaweed, peat and red wine. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Oaky red wine, peaty whisky, licorice, soy sauce and caramel. Mid bitter finish.

(thanks fonefan!). Pitch black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is inky, some red wine barrels, peat, leather and mild metallic tones with some alcohol sweetness. Flavour is kind of follows the pattern of the aroma. Red wine and peat makes a surprisingly ok thing in the flavour, but is just horrid in the aroma. Not smooth, but still a somewhat good sipper.

pours thick and pitch black looks 4/5
aroma has lots of malts, some dark chocolate, some wood. port wine cellar. intense aroma. 8/10
flavor is roasted malts, faint dark dried fruits, wood, charred wood, roasted malts in the end, charred wood in the end, start a tiny bit sweet but ends very roasted malty and heavy.
A really good imp stout where malts and wood is driving the flavor and where intensity is through the roof. The increasing roasted maltiness and charred woodiness towards and into the end makes it
extra nice. Also the charred woodiness and roasted/smoked maltiness is a lot more smooth than limfjordsporter which i also like a lot
the rum presents itself at times as a dried dark fruity note

red wine barrels dominate the aroma, also some funk and some sour malts, like it's a sour imp stout. although sourish i really dig the aroma 8/10
flavor is velvety layered chocolate and roasted malts, wood, fainter red wine, funky notes, fainter coffee. for some reason i think it's too much chocolate even though they
did not use chocolate at all. perhaps the lacto, in fact, i think this would have been much better if it was more malty and less lacto. 7/10

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque black with a rough, beige head. Tart, unclean aroma with some Bourbon in the end. Rich, sweet roast, some whiskey heat but again very unclean probably from a bad barrel. Warming alcohol finish. 010225
