Vinous aroma which is more like honey upon warming. Very pale yellow, still. Honey flavor, much more pronounced in the finish. Light body, silky mouthfeel. Definite fruit notes akin to kiwi. It may be passionfruit, but I’m not familiar enough with that fruit to say definitively. To me, it’s like kiwi. Alcohol evident.

Strong strawberry wine nose. Clear pink, still. Tastes like strawberry wine with little mead character. Tastes fine, but a bit of a novelty.

Bottle on 02/17/2010. Clear pink body with no head. Big strawberry aroma with light honey. Sweet strawberry flavor with light honey. A bit too artificial, somewhat like strawberry hard candy. Medium full body with no carbonation.

I’ll tell you what, Vintage Estates has a lot of brews that I’ve never tasted. This stuff was from a bottle on the shelf. Very clear, the appearance of kerosene but it does have an ever so slight yellow tint. Smell is volatile like high alky fuel. taste is much better than the previous two experiences. Fruity palate and stronger alky impressions. OK, not bad for a mead.

Strongly vinous aroma that approaches rubber cement. Yellow color, thinnish, very slight carbonation. Fairly nice balance of honey, grape, black cherry, and wheat. Sweet, not cloying, decent complexity, just enough carbonation.

Pours clear and very light in color. there’s a mild honey aroma and a sweet honey taste. It’s very straightforward. The only thing here is honey. Light like a sweet white wine, it’s nothing special, but is readily enjoyable.
