Cask, handpump at the St Aldates Tavern, Saturday 28th November 2015 Pours copper in colour, clear as a bell with a white head, a good looker. A fairly safe fruity bitter, quite traditional, tasty a little leafy and a bit earthy if a tad safe. Described as a Crystal Rye Ale, I must tell Gazza to look out for this he’d love it :-) A5 A5 T6 P3 Ov13 3.2

Cask Bag ’O Nails - Bristol. Pours clear brown with a frothy, tan head. The nose holds roasted malts, burnt pine, cocoa. Light sweet flavor, pretty dry and earthy, with bitter chocolate and toasted pine. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Dry and roasty on the finish with more baking cocoa character. Nice one.

Good use of chocolate malts but too much smoke for the style. No OTT crystal crap either. Ale House. GPS not working,
